The Opinel beechwood mushroom knife is a must-have tool for mushroom lovers. Take the pocket-sized folding knife foraging so you can cut and clean wild mushrooms wherever you find them.

The modified Sandvik stainless-steel blade has a high carbon content, for excellent cutting quality and resistance to corrosion. The curved blade is just right for slicing through mushroom stems, and the opposite side is ridged to provide grip.

The beechwood for the handle is from ethically sourced forests, and is varnished for resistance to water. The end of the handle is fitted with natural boar bristles to make a brush. Use to brush loose soil and dirt from the surface of the mushrooms, and easily clean between the gills as well.

Please note, this knife is hand wash only.

The Opinel family started as blacksmiths in Savoie, France in 1800. By 1890, Joseph Opinel had developed the first line of Opinel folding penknives, for which the company would soon become famous. In 1955, Marcel Opinel invented the Virobloc safety ring for all Opinel folding knives – a rotating ‘cap’ where the blade meets the handle, so the knife can be locked open or closed.
