Description
Grapeseed oil has a very mild flavour, so is a perfect carrier for other flavours in a dish. Use to make homemade mayonnaise or in salad dressings with a flavourful vinegar. Its mild flavour makes grapeseed oil a popular choice for infused oils – for example with rosemary, garlic or chilli.
It has a moderately high smoking point – 216°C – so is a great alternative to olive or sunflower oil for frying. Grapeseed oil is high in polyunsaturated fats and low in saturated fats, so is often said to be a healthier alternative to other vegetable oils.
