El Yucateco Habernoro ‘kutbil-ik’ hot sauce is a recipe that was rescued from the ancient culinary traditions of the Mayans. Kutbil-ik means ‘crushed chilli’ in Mayan, and these chillies are the fiercely hot habanero variety.
The sauce is explosively hot, and you only need to add a few drops to give your meal a real chilli kick.
El Yucateco has been making hot sauces for over 50 years, and is a much loved Mexican brand. They grow their own habanero chillies and annatto seeds for their range of sauces, which are enjoyed across the world.
