Enjoy candied iyokan peel straight from the bag, or use it as a garnish. Japanese iyokan oranges are similar in size to tangerines and have a sharp-sweetness. The flavour is between a grapefruit, orange and yuzu fruit.
The thick iyokan peel is ideal for candying. This fruit is aged for 60 days after harvest for a more intense flavour.
Use the candied iyokan peel to flavour ice cream and sorbets. Or top a mirror glazed chocolate cake. The sugary peel works in fruit salads, or dip one end in melted chocolate for homemade petit fours.
